Thursday, November 25, 5 – 8 pm +/-
For the past 16 years, Sarah & I have hosted a VallartaScene Forum (but now a Mordidas / Not Mordidas) family-style Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. This is our way of giving back a little to those who have supported us here. Many of you are more like family to us than you can imagine.
This dinner is full.
See below for the list of people attending and the dishes being brought. Email ojorojoster@gmail.com for more information.

Sarah and I will provide the turkeys, country-style mashed potatoes, some dressing and gravy.
You can provide a side, salad or desert or ??? if you have special recipes that you would like to share. Bring enough to feed about 8-10 people. We prefer that people bring homemade rather that store bought food but we realize that some of you are living in hotel rooms without kitchens or just cannot or will not be able to cook. With approximately 24 people attending and from extensive past experience, there will be plenty of food.
A list of the dishes being brought will be compiled above. It is a rough idea of what different people are bringing so we don’t overlap too much.
Below is the illustration that I used for this Thanksgiving dinner in (2018) and it was far more prophetic than I had anticipated.
On Thursday, November 25, 2021, we will continue this tradition. This dinner is announced on the Mordidas/Not Mordidas website and on the MordidasPV Facebook page. It is by reservation only and will fill quickly. Due to spacing and COVID restrictions, there won’t be a lot of room. We will have room this year for only about 24 people.
Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 pm, depending on the speed of the birds, the condition of the chef(s) and… fate. The door will be opened at 5 for drinks, etc. No early birds, please, unless you are prepared to roll up your sleeves and get to work.
The alcohol is BYOB or virtual BYOB. The food will be self-serve, buffet-style, potluck. Sheyla will be serving the drinks, acting as bouncer, etc. Feel free to bring your own bottles.
There is no cost for this thanksgiving dinner other than what you share. Tips would be nice and very appreciated but are not necessary.
We will be staggering the turkeys so it should be possible to come as late as 8 pm and still get a good meal. Nothing is “to go.” The purpose of this feast is to share a meal together.
There will be no smoking until after about 8:39 pm. Very well behaved dogs are welcome.
