Saturday, December 1, is a National Holiday in Mexico (Presidential Inauguration Day). Not just any old, regular holiday but it is rumored to be a DRY holiday with no alcohol being sold or served from midnight, Friday the 30th, to sometime late Sunday morning. This type of holiday happens only once every 6 years. It is special if the rumor is true.
Mordidas has a special solution to rumors.
If anyone wants to spend a peaceful afternoon or evening at Mordidas (no political rioting allowed), we will be open but will be serving only light snacks in our traditional guinea pig, low cost (donation/propina) test mode. This is technically a “private” party and you should BYOB, although luck might be with you if you don’t.
Everyone is welcome. We’ll be a speakeasy for a day, from about 4 pm to 11 pm.
For admission, tell the doorman that “El Presidente” sent you.
