Drawing as a second language.
A workshop in drawing the human figure.
Nude models. Sometimes male, sometimes female.
This class is for anyone who can appreciate creating art inspired by the human body.
The classes are on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 pm at the old Cafe Mordidas.
EMAIL cafemordidas@gmail.com to sign up or for more information. The price for each class is 100 pesos (about $10 US).
Class size is limited to 8 participants.
COVID protocol is observed.
All levels are welcome. No experience is necessary. This is primarily studio time with a bit of instruction and a great deal of support. We provide tables and chairs: You bring your own supplies, tools, easels or drawing boards. All that is required is the desire to draw or to paint humans in their natural state.
No photographers.
Cameras have eyes but no souls.
If you like drawing humans, this is a rare and unique opportunity for both amateurs and professionals. The setting is casual. The atmosphere is private, comfortable and non-sexual. At the end of each session we discuss each other’s work but this session is totally voluntary.
Space is limited and attendance is by reservation only.
Email cafemordidas@gmail.com to sign up or for information.
We use both male and female adult nude models. Artists of all genders and ages (over 18) are welcome. No photography is allowed unless the model OK’s it (most do not). In the workshop we normally have multiple short poses, between 5 and 20 minutes each. We can arrange longer pose sessions if there is a demand.
If you are interested in modeling, we pay models 400 pesos for each 2 hour session. Please EMAIL cafemordidas@gmail.com for info.
We are open to a wide variety of body types and ages for models. Some of our models are professional and some are not. Modeling, itself, is a very personally liberating experience. Our only requirements for models are that they can hold a pose for up to 20 minutes (most poses are 5 – 15 minutes) and that they have the desire to model. Attitude, confidence and a sense of humor are pluses but are not necessary. The modeling is nude and non-sexual.
All correspondence concerning modeling and class attendance is confidential.
