The Mordidas Cheap Red Wine Tasting Results
Red wines, under 150 pesos

On December 7, 2012, 20 people sampled 10 locally available red wines that cost under 130 pesos a bottle. It was a blind tasting with none of the participants knowing the wines being tasted.
The wines were tested on a scale of 1 to 5 (one being bad and 5 being good) on taste, aroma after taste and overall quality. The comments listed for each wine include the author’s rating of the taste of the wine.
Here are the results of this tasting, listed from top to bottom, from highest rated to lowest rated:
Castillero del Diablo
Cabernet Sauvignon – 2011 – Chile

Malbec – 2011 – Argentina

Aba Marques de Riscal
Rioja -2009 – Spain

Alfredo Roca

Merlot – 2006 – Chile
