Sunday, November 24, is a special day for Mordidas. We have received our bar license after a year and a half of multiple applications. To celebrate we are hosting another Sunday in the ‘hood, with two special guest chefs: Einstien (David Barton) and Earle Decker firing up the charcoal grill for this special meal. Our license came through suddenly on Friday so this is not our “official” grand opening but it is special, none-the-less. Stop by and say hello. We may be in a celebrating mood. The party starts at 1 pm and continues until it stops.
- ON the Grill and Oriental adventure, Kabob style.
Two Chicken Teriyaki Kabobs, hot off the grill with pineapple, green peppers and onion. The Kabobs are served with a side of home made Korean Kimchi. 50 pesos per plate. - Oysters, raw on the half shell and ala Rockefeller
Mix or match oysters at 10 pesos each or 12 for 100 pesos. We will be market testing some new Rockefeller recipes. - Cerveza
Ice cold Pacifico, Corona, Corona Light and Victoria. 13 pesos for a regular sized bottle. - Mixed Drinks
We are training our blind and deaf bartender so mixed drinks are only 20 pesos.
We open at 1 pm and close when we run out of food, usually around sunset.
As with all of our Sundays in the ‘hood events, we encourage you to buy ceviche, roasted chicken and birria from our neighbors who have food stands across the street from us. Feel free to bring in and eat here their offerings.
This may or may not be a speakeasy event depending on the decisions of the gods.
We have easy bus and taxi access and we are about a 30 minute flatland walk from Los Muertos beach.
