Thursday, November 23
For the past 12 years, Sarah & I have hosted a VallartaScene Forum family-style Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. This is our way of giving back a little to those who have supported us here at Mordidas and on the VallartaScene Forum. Many of you are more like family to us than you can know.
This dinner is now full.
On Thursday, November 23, 2017, we will continue this tradition.
Dinner will be served from 5 to 8 pm, depending on the speed of the birds, the condition of the chef(s) and… fate. You can show up at 4 pm to socialize (or, if you want to arrive earlier, you will be put to work helping with the preparations).
We will provide the turkeys, country-style mashed potatoes, dressing and gravy. You can provide a side, salad or desert or any of the above if you have special recipes that you would like to share. Bring enough to feed 8 – 10 people. We prefer that people bring homemade rather that store bought food but we realize that some of you are living in hotel rooms without kitchens.
If you are not sure what you are bringing, please sign up, anyhow. The list will fill quickly. You can tell us later. We are publishing here a rough idea of what different people are bringing so we don’t duplicate.
Alex will be bartending and we will sell beer, wine or cocktails at our normal low prices. The bar will be open to the public.
There is no cost for this thanksgiving dinner other than what you share and drink.
We have space for about 36 people at a seating. We will be staggering the turkeys so it might be possible to come after 8pm and still get a good meal but no one will eat without bringing something to share.
